Why MatCH Program
Why choose the MatCH Program?
In the first semester, rotate through three different laboratories to ensure that you choose the environment best suited to your interests and goals. Choices of disciplines include basic science, clinical, epidemiology and health services studies.
A stipend is provided by the program for the first semester while you rotate through different laboratories.
At the beginning of the second semester you choose a mentor and become affiliated with the principal department of your mentor/supervisor.
You will have access to interdisciplinary interactions between students and faculty from different departments to foster communications and provide increased opportunities for collaborations or joint supervision by multi-disciplinary researchers.
You will also participate in common coursework to provide instruction in the many research areas encompassed by the participating departments.
